Who doesn’t love a puppy? One VWNC member answered yes but had forgotten about (or conveniently ignored) the sleepless nights and puppy training. Diana Sutherland and her husband Don had been wanting a dog for quite a while and once they were settled in their home in Fairfield, they decided they were ready. They chose an Australian Labradoodle. Bred to be a hypoallergenic service dog, the Labradoodle went on to prove that she could also be a versatile family and therapy dog as well. A Labradoodle is happiest when she’s with the people she loves, and she’ll shower her family with affection and devotion. Diana says they made the right choice.
Chosen from a litter of eight, Sailor is now comfortably ensconced in the Sutherland home. Her new parents may be showing signs of fatigue but Sailor pays little attention to their yawns when he wants up in the night. With the energy of the Labrador Retriever and the work ethic of both the Lab and the Poodle, he’s bound to be a joy. Fortunately, Labradoodles have a reputation of being easy to train because of their intelligence and eagerness to please. Diana and Don are banking on that being true.[/wa_restricted][wa_restricted roles=”All” login_label=”Log in” message=”Log in to view restricted content.”]
