Build relationships through various activities in your new hometown.
Victoria Women’s Newcomers Club (VWNC)is a volunteer organization that offers those new to the city an opportunity to get involved. You’ll build friendships and gain a better understanding of your community through social, cultural and outdoor activities.
From heritage tours, to golf, and outdoor adventures to book clubs, art in the city, and walking groups, our members explore new passions and discover new opportunities. And some, such as pub nights, welcome partners. (See Activities for a complete list of opportunities – we are confident there is something for everyone.)
One of the most important events the club hosts is its Women’s Luncheon at the historic Union Club, just steps away from the inner harbour. It’s held on the first Thursday each month (September to June) and in addition to great food, it features a variety of guest speakers. It is the perfect venue for our members to come together – to catch up with ‘old’ friends and meet new ones.
So whether you join us for a luncheon or decide to become a member today, we look forward to meeting you!
